October Wine of the Month

2012 Marie-Pierre Manicat Macon Morizottes The 2012 Marie-Pierre Manicat Morizottes is a delight. The bouquet is very attractive in the sense that it offers fresh pear and touches of grapefruit melon at first, then later spicier scents emerge and adds another layer of complexity. The palette is well-balanced, with plenty of citrus fruit, fresh apples and melon.  There is an impressive weight here and perhaps the precision is just taken down a couple of notches by a warmth on the finish. Price: $14.99
